The OEM gearbox in Lotus cars with 2ZZ engine is not suitable for trackdays or racing purposes, it's not designed to withstand the high loads applied on track. The synchronizer bodies, synchro rings and synchro clutches wear down really fast and the gears tend to break after a very short period of time on track.

 

The JUBU 6-speed dog box gearkit resolves this problem, it has been designed as racing gearbox that can withstand permanently applied high loads (up to 450 hp and up to 450 Nm). The single gears in the JUBU dog box are bigger and wider than in the OEM gearbox and also made of more robust materials. The JUBU dog box is a very robust and steadfast H-shift transmission and can easily be installed in the OEM Lotus gearbox housing. If there is a LSD already installed in the OEM-gearbox, it can stay and will also work with the JUBU dog box. 

 

For being absolutely safe for hardest racing and additionally reduce wear and tear, we recommend also to install a gearbox-cooling kit (optional available).
