JUBU brake cooling front axle Track & Race
For a superior brake performance, adequate brakes AND their efficient cooling is key. On all OEM standard Exige- and 3-Eleven cars, braking performance is limited due to the lack of a dedicated brake cooling system. In this OEM-setup, the brakes tend to overheat quickly. Consequence: the pressure point of the brake pedal gets worse, the braking performance decreases rapidly on high loads and the brakes wear out too fast (burnt brake pads, fading on the discs)
With the JUBU brake cooling kit, you can permanently get rid of this issue. The JUBU kit provides reliable cooling of your brakes on the front axle. This ensures a permanent optimized (lower) temperature on the front brakes which leads to a long-lasting, constantly high brake performance (no weak brake pedal anymore), even on hardest racing and also way less wear and tear on the brakes. The aerodynamics of the car is almost not affected by this upgrade. A novelty for every Exige - even in normal road use!
Benefits
- Significantly improved, active cooling of the whole braking system on the front axle (OEM standard: no cooling at all)
- Reliable and steadily high braking performance, even on harsh racing conditions by maintaining optimized (lower) brake temperatures (no "weak" brake pedal anymore)
- Very inexpensive solution that reduces wear and tear of the whole braking system (by maintaining lower temperatures, the lifespan of pads and discs can almost be doubled compared to the non-cooled brake setup of the OEM standard)
- Improved effectiveness of the engine watercooling system by optimizing the ratio between air inlet-area and air outlet-area of the radiator (best effectiveness: outlet area of radiator app. 1/3 bigger than the inlet area)
- Full capable for daily driving on roads but fully ready to race at any given time
- Motorsports-design/-layout which is also used by professional teams in major GT racing series (inlet on front, not on floor)
Details
- Inlet on the front of the car (high-pressure side, high efficiency), not on the underfloor/splitter (low-pressure side, low efficiency)
- Ultra-lightweight system, produced via modern 3D-printing method (heat resistant material)
- New: The air outlets on the upright are made of aluminum
- Easily retrofittable, leaves only little markings (only two holes for the hoses have to be resealed)
- Designed and manufactured by JUBU Performance in Austria
- Tested by professional JUBU testdrivers on various tracks all across Europe
Fits for
- all Exige S3 models (V6)
- 3-Eleven
Scope of delivery
- 2 pcs. flow-optimized JUBU inlet-funnels (3D-printed) for installation in the crashbox
- 2 pcs. flexible, reinforced hoses
- 2 pcs. flow-optimized JUBU outlet-funnels (Aluminum) for installation on the upright
- Mounting material
Options
- Model choice (Note: the model selection is crucial because there is a differently shaped inlet funnel in the front clam or crash box for each model)
NOTE: Depending on your model/variant, intstallation work is more or less easy. On Exige S, Exige 350 and Exige 380, the installation can be done with relatively little effort because the grids in the front clam can be removed easily (screws) and grant access for the installation work.
On Exige 390 FE, Exige 410 Sport, Exige 420 FE, Exige 430 Cup and 3-Eleven, the grids in the front clam are fixed and can not be removed without removing the clam. For installation of the brake cooling kit in this models, the front clam has to be removed.
NOTE: As a very welcome side-effect, the installation of the JUBU brake cooling funnels in the crashbox also improves the cooling of the engine. The installed funnels reduce the intake-area for the engine cooling radiator, which improves the ratio of the intake- and the outlet-area (for an optimized airflow through the radiator, the outlet-area (top of the hood) should be 1/3 bigger than the inlet-area (inside the crashbox)).
