Our technicians haven't just focused on increasing the power from 170 hp to a breathtaking 245 hp and raising the rev limit to a spine-tingling 8,400 rpm. We have also massively reinforced the mechanical components of the Ford Duratec engine, permanently eliminating its standard weak points. However, the absolute heart and technological masterpiece of this kit is our in-house developed, electronically controlled roller barrel throttle body. Combined with the full carbon intake system—from the airbox and air filter housing to the NACA duct on the bonnet—the result is a powerhouse that sets absolute standards in terms of throttle response, airflow, and intake sound.

We have designed this kit to be the absolute sweet spot: an uncompromising racing engine with a clear eye on the budget, offering you the best price-to-performance ratio. Because in engine building, the golden rule applies: you can always do more—but it will cost disproportionately more.

• The Highlight – JUBU Roller Barrel Throttle Body: A completely in-house designed and manufactured electronic roller barrel throttle body (Drive-by-Wire) for maximum, unrestricted airflow at full load.

• Complete Carbon Intake System: Perfectly integrated JUBU carbon airbox, JUBU carbon air filter housing, and JUBU carbon NACA duct (for the bonnet).

• Profound Engine Reinforcement: Mechanical upgrade of the engine block featuring JUBU forged pistons (Cosworth boxed and bridged forging style), high-strength steel conrods, upgraded conrod bearings, and a modified chain tensioner to resolve known standard weak points.

• Exhaust System Included: JUBU 4-1 stainless steel exhaust manifold combined with an HJS 200-cell sports catalytic converter. (Swiss customers receive a special CH-version with an OEM manifold, generating approx. 8-9 hp less).

• Everyday Usability: Despite the extreme power increase, the original silencer/muffler is retained (the car does not become unpleasantly loud). Only the tailpipe is shortened to make room for the longer exhaust manifold system.

• JUBU updated carbon air filter housing incl. sports air filter like SEVEN 485 (high volume with large air filter - outputs of +300 hp possible)

• JUBU updated carbon NACA for bonnet air intake similar to SEVEN 485 (high flow - approx. 21.5% more intake than the original Caterham SEVEN 485 NACA)

• JUBU forged Duratec pistons (Cosworth boxed and bridged forging style)

• JUBU steel Duratec conrods

• Upgraded conrod bearings

• JUBU 490 sports camshafts with special profile (special attention was paid to emission values)

• JUBU valve springs (original spring retainers are to be used)

• JUBU 4-1 stainless steel exhaust manifold with HJS 200-cell sports cat with E-mark (important for MOT, TÜV, MFK, §57a, etc.)

• JUBU P&P ECU kit for SEVEN 340 including software

• ARP crankshaft and camshaft bolts

• Friction discs for camshafts and crankshaft

• Delivery as a Customer/Dealer Pack. Intended as a kit for dealers or professionals (without installation into the vehicle) or customers for whom traveling is too far. (Attention: installation must be carried out by qualified personnel)

• Installation at JUBU Performance in Münzbach incl. test drive and power measurement (incl. video) on our in-house dyno

• Version "Road/Trackday" (with VCT): The perfect balance for the street and occasional track days. This version retains the Variable Cam Timing (VCT), ensuring optimal drivability in everyday traffic and strong torque in the lower rev range. Annual technical inspections such as MOT, TÜV, MFK, or §57a are no problem with this version.

• Version "Race" (without VCT): The pure essence for motorsport. Here, the VCT is omitted in favor of an uncompromising focus on peak power and high-rpm performance. This version hardly meets regular emissions and inspection standards (MOT, TÜV, MFK, §57a)—and that is exactly by design! You get a pure, extremely aggressive racing engine that gets the absolute maximum out of your budget.

• CH version with OEM Caterham 485 manifold (approx. minus 8-9 hp)

• Fast Road and Trackday cooling pack SEVEN 340 with or without installation into the vehicle (large water radiator with larger fan, oil cooler mounted directly on the water radiator, 82° thermostat, 80° oil thermostat, and CNC-machined aluminum adapter plate with Aero Grip hoses and aluminum fittings, oil filter, and bracket for the oil hoses)

• Premium heat protection insulation up to the aluminum paneling (JUBU 4-1 exhaust manifold with sports cat)

PLEASE NOTE: As with all high-performance upgrades, the exact power gain depends on the current condition and mileage of your engine. For permanent use on the racetrack (track days), we highly recommend the JUBU dry sump system. Formally, both variants are motorsport products—they do not come with TÜV approval, ABE, or any other street-legal certification.
