The original pistons of the Duratec 2.0 and 2.3 engines are not designed for high performance in road, racing and trackday operation. For higher performance in continuous mixed operation or racing operation, more robust pistons are required to ensure the stability of the engine. The compression ratio and the valve pockets of the JUBU/Mahle piston have been adapted to be able to use camshafts with a high stroke at TDC. We orientated ourselves on the Cosworth piston for the Duratec engine series, which has been tried and tested for many years but is no longer produced. Thanks to their special design and the materials used, the JUBU/Mahle Motorsport forged pistons are suitable for durable performance of up to +320 bhp and 9500 rpm in the Duratec 2.0 and 2.3l engines.
