Sport gearbox kit semi-helical (5-speed)

for all Caterham with Ford T9 gearbox

The semi-helical (25°), reinforced sport gearbox kit is an ideal and robust solution for very sporty driving on roads and even moderate (non-frequent) trackday usage. The profiles of the gear teeth are much larger than those of the gears of the OEM Ford/Caterham gearbox. This is why the gears of this kit can withstand higher torque/loads, but due to the semi-helical angle, they are still way less noisy than straight cut gears - an ideal solution for everyday sporty driving without having fear of a broken gearbox.

As an additional improvement, the ratios have been optimized especially for Caterham cars, the first gear is longer than OEM, the ratios of gears 2-5 are way more harmonic. This optimizes the power transmission of the engine, the car feels much sportier and the engine more powerful while driving.
