JUBU cooling upgrade 2GR
During extended, sporty driving on roads, at higher outside temperatures or during trackdays and racing the Lotus V6 engine with the standard thermostat and the OEM waterpump pulley tends to run permanently on slightly too high temperatures. This OEM pre-setting is not ideal for the engine fitness, but was necessary to fit the very strict emission standards for CoC. Unfortunate effect: higher wear and tear on the engine and periphericals.
To set the engine temperature a little lower (and keep it permanently optimal, even on hard track-use), we've developed the JUBU cooling upgrade. It consists of a new thermostat which opens earlier than the OEM one as well as an optimized high-strength waterpump pulley. The new pulley increases the performance of the water pump and ensures a higher volumetric flow of the coolant.
To be safe regarding ideal engine temperatures - even on very high outside temperatures or hard trackdays/racing - we highly recommend the JUBU cooling upgrade. It ensures a steady optimal engine temperature, helps to unleash some additonal power/response und prevents engine and other components from unnecessarily high wear and tear caused by running slightly too hot.

- Variant 1: "Road & Track" - thermostat opens at 76°C, ideal for sporty driving on roads with infrequent trackday fun, but also for street use in regions with moderate/cold climate
- Variant 2: "Ultimate Race" - thermostat opens at 69°C, ideal for hard trackdays and/or for street use in regions with very warm climate and high outside temperatures; limited suitability for slow street cruising use and/or in regions with moderate/cold climate
NOTE: When choosing the "Ultimate Race" variant and smooth cruising on roads at low outside temperatures, the warning lamp "low water temperature" may sometimes light up (because the water temperatures get really low if there is no load applied and the outside temperature is cold).
